I Am Inspired By James Faith

James “Rhio” O’Conner was diagnosed with a rare disease called Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a very rare form of lung disease which is found in the mesothelium , a protective sac covering the body’s internal organs . The oncologist prognosis was that James would have less than a one year to live, but James determination, positive attitude, hoping spirit, and know-how techniques helped him to live 7 plus more years despite what any oncologist informed him. He was a person who believed that something could be done, even when it seemed like the world was crashing down on him. James “Rhio” was a strong minded and determined soul, and it make me wonder what I would do if I had to face the same challenges that James “Rhio” O’Conner faced.

Brandi Hamilton, your diagnosed with Mesothelioma , and I’m sorry to say that there is little my team can do to treat this rare and fatal disease . now, being that that was all said , you have less than a year to live , and just maybe with luck you can extend that time period . Once again I’m sorry Ms. Hamilton, as the doctor walks out the room. Now, I can only imagine how James cosumed that kind of news from his oncologist, when he first discovered that he only had less than a year to live. Of course my life would have replayed in my mined over an over realizing how many love ones and things that I would be missing and losing. “But when thou goest out to battle against thine enemies , and seest horses and chariots , and people more than thou , be not afraid of them : for the lord thy God is with thee…land of Egypt’ Deuteronomy 20:20 ,Holy Bible,King James Version. The scripture is entitling that even though demons and fearful things start entering your life, be not afraid , but trust in God that nothing or no one will destroy you , if you believe in God. This scripture would empower me to prepare the steps I need to follow by, to defeat this curing disease.

The first step that I would take is accepting the fact that I have this disease, and expecting that it will be cured. Informing my love ones and finding the best doctors to help create a supportive circle will also be pronounced. Conducting the most valuable research would require , finding the types of healthy foods and proportions needed for my body, like orange and dark green vegetables, such as carrots, spinach, and sweet potatoes, helping fight against the cancer. The proper amount of exercise and meditation will also need to be established. Taking daily walks , spending quality time with love ones ,reading the bible , and walking by faith for a brighter day , is something that would keep me optimistic. Things like this , and which I just listed to follow by , would make me look beyond treatments like chemotherapy , radiation , and surgery . basically , if the courageous James “Rhio” could conquer his disease for seven plus years just by will power , and alternative therapies then there is no need for chemo , radiation , etc…

James “Rhio” O’Conner had his own melody, and choices to help him live a longer life, and as for me , the only resource that I would use to make an in formed decision , and looking beyond other alternatives would have to be faith. Faith in God. Faith that no matter what title is giving to me , it is my decision rather I want to keep that title , a dying cancer patient, or with faith and patience demolish that title. “But if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it .”Romans 8:25,Holy Bible,King James version . as a nursing major , I am inspired by James faith , and when I do become a nurse I plan to tell my patients to never give up hope and to walk by faith. This is something that I will mean and believe .
