Description:
Patients: This Phase II study involved 26 patients with malignant mesothelioma. (24 patients had pleural mesothelioma.)

Treatment: The treatment consisted of administration of the chemotherapy drug, Ifosfamide (IFEX).

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included leucopenia, infection, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, neurotoxicity, renal, hematuria, and alopecia.

Results: The median overall survival was 10 months.
