We have all heard of medical marijuana. Various states have either legalized its use for specific patients or are reviewing its legality for various diseases. But, did you know that at least one mesothelioma patient has used it to help treat his cancer and believed it gave him many additional years to live with a good quality of life?
Andy Ashcraft was diagnosed with advanced pleural mesothelioma in 2010. His doctors told him that he had only three to twelve months to live. But Andy and his wife Ruth refused to accept those odds and researched various alternative approaches for mesothelioma. They decided to use cannabis oil, the oil from marijuana. Andy passed away in October 2017. He lived a full seven years after he was diagnosed and beat his dismal one year prognosis with six more years of good quality life.
